Saint Francis
Winter 2008 I am a priest of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, and a brother of the Brotherhood of Saint Gregory. This painting was influenced by the panels and altarpieces of the Italian high renaissance. The medium is oil, not tempera, though applied using early oil techniques. Francis of Assisi has always been an important figure in my spiritual thinking. |
