Paper cuttings overlaid and painted My daughter spent a year as an exchange student in the Netherlands. The celebration of St. Nicholas Day has become especially meaningful to her as she struggles with how to create stability for her children during the holiday season when they share alternate Christmases with their Dad. She prefers to honor the real saint rather than the myth and cherishes the holiness of the Nativity on December 25th. This cutting was my gift to her, a token of my support of her new family tradition. |
