Remove the Sandals from Your Feet, for the Place
on which You are Standing is Holy Ground

Oil Painting

42 by 32 inches

Curving just enough to lure, the path through the rhododendron cathedral of tangles and branches entices. Flashes of sunlight accompany us along the path into cerulean blue.

Red dots of holiness and radiant gold leaf dots bounce, vibrate and invite. The Beyond joins Reality and then disappears around curves in the path.

“Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” God’s own words to Moses mirror our own recognition of Who is there in the burning bushes of the rhododendron tangle, leading our return through a thin veil of gold dots.
