Artist Statement: This collage, incorporating old papers, bible pages, and broken twig bits, speaks of life’s mutability and preciousness. Their brokenness is stitched onto layers of salvaged and handmade papers in an effort to “hold together” that which is broken. There is an effort to impose an artificial and futile control over the perishable. |
