Psalm XC

Artist Statement: This collage, incorporating old papers, bible pages, and broken twig bits, speaks of life’s mutability and preciousness. Their brokenness is stitched onto layers of salvaged and handmade papers in an effort to “hold together” that which is broken. There is an effort to impose an artificial and futile control over the perishable.

Psalm 90 teaches us to” number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”. “God is our refuge (our dwelling place)”, so though our days are brief, sometimes difficult, He is mercifully with us. His words surround us with hope and wisdom.
