The work is selected from a set of fourteen Stations of the Cross created for Holy Week 2005 at St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Images were taken from news and other online media sources and digitally manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. Contrasting contemporary political, social, and aesthetic images are juxtaposed with traditional devotional readings, European art, and readings from scripture inviting the viewer to new questions about his or her relationship to Christ’s passion.
