Visual Preludes 2006 - Wisdom of God

The creation of this mandala, Sacred Space, was begun by a search for God’s purpose for my life and talent. Nature has been calling me for years and recently I have been led to concentrate heavily upon it for my image inspirations. This piece began with a simple walk in the fall with my camera. It has taken several years to manifest into its present form. The organic form speaks of the presence of God everywhere we turn. The emergence of Mary with the Christ child beckons the viewer ever closer to the realm of nature as sacred space. It is a direct answer to the prayer for spiritual sight and a hint of the immenseness and power of “all things” growing “into . . . Christ.”
