layers of sheer fabrics machined in metallic threads to a ground of red furnishing fabric enhanced with fine spray of gold

The Right Reverend Peter Selby, Bishop of Kingston, Surrey at the point of commission, now Bishop of Worcester, Worcester, Worcestershire, UK.

This design seeks to express the mystery and joy of life in abundance through the movement of shimmering tones of red and purple rising to a crescendo of gold at the shoulders and in the mitre.
