I have been exploring the contrast of Light in Darkness for many years in a variety of formats. The subject of this work is the gorgeous orb, a symbol of the Divine floating in the heavens, surrounded by the sun’s fire behind and in front. The layering which is apparent in the original work suggests time and change, but the circle is unchanged, and hovering over everything in creation.
