Donna Shasteen

. . .be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, always and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. (Ephesians 5.18)

This scripture speaks to me of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Houston, Texas, where my life is enriched, my artwork is inspired, and my spirit is nurtured. This is a community of loving worship, thankful hearts, prayerful caring, creative energy and joy in the Lord.

Donna Shasteen's work encompasses a diversity of mediums including acrylic, mixed media and fiber. She is currently working on a liturgical cycle of hangings for the children's chapel which is a collaborative project including the creative work of children and adults from the school and church community of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Houston, Texas, where she worships.
