Margaret Adams Parker

I created "Madonna, Angola" in response to reports and photos from a friend who was working for the United Nations, documenting the plight of internally displaced persons in Angola. I wanted to honor the dignity and beauty of these “internal refugees.” I also think it is important for Christians in the West to see images which depict the Incarnation set in a place or time that we do not expect; it reminds us that the Incarnation is truly for all people.
