  Mary and Jesus
paper cut out, 2005
8.5x11.5 inches

Griffin Logue

This Matisse-style paper cut out of Mary and Jesus was created to illustrate the hymn Silent Night, Holy Night with its well known verse,

Silent night, holy night,
all is calm, all is bright
round yon virgin
mother and child.
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
sleep in heavenly peace,
sleep in heavenly peace.

Griffin Logue is a student and the co-curator of this exhibit. A photograph of Griffin's was previously exhibited by ECVA as part of the Illustrating the Hours exhibition.
