Painting

Artist Statement: In their last home, my parents lived on Belle Lac, Pretty Lake, which was aptly named. We found peace and rest.

Bio: Julie Christian Bender is a painter working in oils and watercolor. She has studied with many excellent teachers at various places including The University of Michigan (BFA), Western Michigan University (MA), Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, The Art Institute of Chicago and Goshen College. She has shown in several galleries, including The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, Buchanan Art Center, Krasl Art Center. Her work is included in many people’s personal collections.
