Christine Nicoll Parson

Knock and It Shall Be Opened—Bunker is one of a series of Doors which open with opportunities. This one, for me, is a face—the Face of God who opens those doors.

Born and raised in the Washington, DC area, Christine only wanted to be one thing—a painter. Building on years spent haunting the National Gallery, Christine studied at the Corcoran School of Art, Camegie-Mellon University and with various artists. She is the recipient of two grants from the DC Commission on Arts and Humanities. She taught art for twenty-five years to both children and adults. She was artist-in-residence in 1997 at Wesley Theological Seminary. Her work is in private and corporate collections world wide. Her work may be seen in her studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. She shows regularly at the Firehouse Gallery in Bordentown, New Jersey. Christine has had numerous one artist shows as well as showing her work in local and national venues. She is the illustrator for From Genesis to Revelation. a rosary, written by Christine Haapala. Christine is a member of the National Association of Women Artists.
