Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago

The theme is resurrection; the imagery is atmospheric rather than direct. The work was designed to harmonize with two very large paintings and a pulpit fall by Nancy Chinn (not shown), which hang to either side of the chancel. The strips are reversible, end-to-end, with different designs at either end. I use Jacquard dyes and steam-set the pieces for 3 hrs. They are then reasonably light-fast, and can be washed or dry-cleaned.
